πBrokerage Network
Our extensive brokerage network allows us to buy and sell blue-chip assets, at great prices, at scale.
When it comes to sourcing wines at attractive valuations, it is all about the strength of your network and relationships.
Here, our Investment Committee's decades of experience combine with Coterie Holdings' extensive supply-side access to allow us to source great wines, at great prices, at scale.
Unlike other alternative assets, fine wines have an agreed upon market price, ensuring that both buyer and seller can see whether they are getting a good deal.
When it comes time to sell the wines, we have a number of exit channels available:
To another WineFi client. If the wine is still within its drinking window and has room to appreciate, it may be an appropriate fit for another investment-portfolio.
To a wine merchant. We can broker a sale to another merchant, utilising both independent relationships and Coterie Holdings' extensive network across the wine trade.
To a private collector. We may broker the assets onto the open market to a private individual seeking to acquire a certain vintage.
To a hospitality venue. In certain circumstances, we may choose to sell assets to hotels or restaurants who wish to offer fine wine to their own client base. A member of our Investment Committee manages a business that specialises in this channel.
We do not typically utilise auction houses, except in the case of very rare or highly illiquid wines, due to the high fees charged.
Liquidity
The wine markets are illiquid, and behave similarly to the residential property markets. We recommend allowing up to 120 days to dispose of assets. We will manage this process for you.
